The historic Larkmead Estate vineyard comprises 120 acres of the entire 145 acre site, split among 3 distinct blocks. Vines range in age from 4 to 100 years. This is a naturally low vigor and low yielding vineyard, averaging 3 to 4 tons per acre.

At Larkmead we practice sustainable farming, utilizing the best viticultural practices with minimum pesticides and a strong emphasis on detailed canopy management. What excites us most about Larkmead is its rocky soil. Although all 120 vineyard acres are on the valley floor terrace, Larkmead is like a hillside vineyard in terms of soils, drainage, low vigor and therefore lower yields - all factors that we know make Larkmead one of the very best vineyards in the Napa Valley.
